You know that there are techniques, exercises and knowledge you need to have but you’re not sure what the next step is.

Right now, while you’re pregnant, is a fantastic time to get yourself and your partner well prepared for the day of your baby’s arrival. Even if you are in late pregnancy, you still have time

Starting with THIS pregnancy, you can set aside overwhelm and anxiety and enrol yourself in a birth course.

All 7 dimensions of wellness are covered: mental, emotional, spiritual, sexual, social, financial and physical.

  • Using thought-provoking questions and authentic self discovery, you’ll find out what you already believe about birth and which of your coping strategies will serve you best.

I will help you build your birth team and give you tips for choosing your ideal birth place and care providers.

I’ll show you how to positively prepare your mind with plenty of tips that will help you gain control over your thoughts and help you cope with anything that labour brings.

  • You’ll learn what is happening during each stage of labour so you can be prepared for what it will feel like (and look like) both emotionally and physically.

You’ll find out when to go to hospital (or when to call your midwife if you’re having a home birth), the most comfortable positions, how to work with your contractions to push your baby out, options for birthing your placenta and what the ‘golden hour’ after birth is.

I’ll tell you about the common needs and typical behaviours during the different stages of labour and give you suggestions of mental, emotional and physical coping skills to get you through ANY birth.

No matter what your labour and birth environment looks like, the main thing is that it feels right for you so I’ll show you how to customise your space.

I’ll give you loads of tips and ideas to turn your hospital room or home into a beautiful birth space which will help your oxytocin soar.

  • Which tests and procedures would you like?

What should your birth plan look like?

    What does informed choice mean?

How will you make proactive choices for yourself and your baby in pregnancy and throughout labour?

I’ll show you brilliant decision making tools that can help you navigate all your pregnancy and birth decisions with confidence.

  • What is a medical intervention?

    When is it needed?

What are the benefits and risks of each intervention?

I will give you a solid overview of the most common interventions in labour and birth so you can make the best decisions for your unique birth.

I’ll show you how to embrace interventions (and equip you with coping skills) when they are necessary.

  • Your birth partner (or partners) will be with you throughout labour and their role is to help you stay comfortable and in control as you move through your birthing process.

But, do they know how to be your best support?

    Partners need tools.

Talking directly to your birth partner/s, I will respectfully give them the tools and the encouragement they need, showing them how they can best support you while still honouring their own transition and journey along the way.

  • When it comes to planning, the best thing you can do is learn what helps YOU cope.

There are SO many birth scenarios to consider and we have no way of knowing how each birth will play out.

So, we’ll use questions and journal style prompts (downloadable) to help you prepare for EVERY potential situation so you can confidently enter birth ready to cope no matter which direction your birth takes.

  • The dynamics of your family are about to change, whether this is the beginning of your parenting journey or you are adding to your family.

I’ll walk you through all aspects of baby care, including washing your baby, cord care, what to expect in the early weeks and more.

  • I’ll explain the different ways you can feed your baby, the pros and cons of each and what to expect in the early days.

If you plan to breastfeed, I’ll discuss how to start your journey, how to know if your baby is getting enough milk, the challenges you might come up against, and tips for getting a good latch.

If you are expressing milk, bottle feeding or using donor milk, you will find plenty of information to get you started.

You will find information presented in an inclusive and non judgemental way.

  • Birth is a huge event and your body will take some time to heal after you’ve birthed your baby.

I’ll help you know what to expect with all aspects of your physical recovery including how to care for your vagina or caesarean stitches and how to help restore your pelvic floor.

I’ll give you plenty of tips for the first six weeks as you navigate the emotional and hormonal changes including how to care for your mental wellbeing, how and where to find support, and what you can do now to give yourself the best chances of a positive postpartum experience.

Meet the course creator

Hi, my name is Bonnie.

I come from a long line of birth support women; my mother and grandmother were both birth doulas before me.

I created Together We Birth as a way to extend my services to as many families as possible. My ultimate goal is to make you feel confident that you can handle the entire experience of birth and feel empowered doing it.

I’m here to make sure you have the knowledge and tools to make it a positive experience for everyone involved.

My desire is to support families to know what to do, and how to cope with the twists and turns of birth in the hope that more mothers emerge from birth ready to take on ANYTHING.

I can’t wait to share my familial knowledge with you…

My mother and grandmother instilled in me a deep fascination and interest in pregnancy, birth and motherhood.

My grandmother, Nikki, had eight children (my mum was her firstborn). Nanny Nikki has supported a lot of births over the years and is an advocate for women and natural birth.

My mother, Tammy, was at the births of all five of my children and she continues to support women as they prepare to birth by encouraging them to trust their bodies, boldly advocate for themselves and find their inner strength.

Needless to say…I’ve learned from the best!

I believe all women should have the opportunity to emerge from their birth feeling empowered by their birth experience - no matter how or where they birth.

My hope is that throughout the process you feel strengthened in your self-belief, confident in your ability, and well-prepared to have a calm, confident, controlled birth experience.

What are you waiting for?

I have supported hundreds of families over 21+ years and I’m so confident that this is what you need to birth confidently that I have a 14-day money back guarantee to ensure this is the perfect fit for you.

“We loved how the course was easy to navigate, we listened to it together in the car like a podcast. Your voice is so calming and reassuring, you are really made for this work. Thank you” Juliet

  • This course does not have a start or stop date - it is completely online and is self-paced so you can watch it whenever suits you.

It does not expire, you will have lifetime access.

You can binge-watch the videos (it will take you 8 hours), though I don’t recommend this as you will get more out of the course by watching, integrating and practising the techniques before you move on.

I recommend watching the videos over a few days or weeks. You can revisit them as many times as you like.

You can watch them on any device (smartphone, tablet, Smart TV etc.) or you can just listen to the videos like a podcast.

  • The course content is made up of 85 videos and downloadable worksheets that can be bound into a workbook.

Everything is online so you will need internet connection and a device capable of accessing the internet.

You will be doing a combination of watching, listening, writing, journaling, reflecting and practising coping techniques.

  • Birth education courses vary so much!

The majority of hospital birth classes major on what might happen during labour and birth, but not many focus on HOW you can get through labour with specific coping techniques and strategies for physical and mental pain mastery.

Some classes DO include coping techniques but they are often slanted towards a specific type of birth outcome.

The Together We Birth Course combines birth education (so you are well-prepared and knowledgeable about what to expect) with specific skill-building techniques, tips, tricks and hacks.

Throughout the course you will be prompted to think about what YOU want in each possible situation. As you make notes in your workbook, you will be formulating your birth preferences so you can tell your care providers what you want to happen in each situation - ahead of time.

  • Absolutely…

But, having everything in one place that you can work through systematically is going to save you a massive amount of time - not to mention the filtering and sifting it would take to find all these topics elsewhere.

You may have already noticed in your preparation for birth that people’s opinions vary dramatically. You’ve probably already experienced everyone’s well-meaning (but often contradictory) advice.

What I am teaching in my course is not new information but it IS realistic and relevant. It has been passed down over generations by wise women who know and understand birth. However, the medical support information is all current, research-based and accurate for NOW and I will update it as necessary.

Having supported hundreds of families over nearly 20 years, I’ve been honing and refining many different positive coping techniques and approaches to birth and I will share this with you.

  • You should do this course…

If you are a first time, second time or even fifth time parent.

If you want to take charge of your birth experience and ‘go in’ well prepared.

If you are planning to birth in a midwife-led birth centre or you are planning a hospital birth.

If you are planning a home birth.

If you have a ‘high risk’ pregnancy and are under the care of medical specialists.

If you are having an elective or planned caesarean.

If you had a caesarean in the past and want to have a vaginal birth this time (VBAC).

If you are planning to have no drugs or all the drugs.

If you have had a traumatic birth experience in the past and want positive birth education, reassurance, encouragement and to feel in control.

  • When epidurals work, they bring brilliant relief from the pain of contractions. But, the reality is that they don’t work completely all the time and the process of GETTING an epidural can be quite a challenge for many mums.

Strategies for coping with medical procedures (in case they eventuate) is an important part of birth preparation.

When women describe birth, one of the most common words they use is “intense”. It’s a good word, but it doesn’t just refer to the intensity of contractions.

Birth is intense for many reasons.

You might have to manage nausea, exhaustion, spikes in emotion, irritation, fatigue, frustration, staff that you don’t gel with, medical procedures and plenty of other UNKNOWNS.

We will discuss it all so you can feel ready and prepared for all the possibilities.

  • Women all over the world birth the same way.

It doesn’t matter where we are geographically in the world, all women need to be equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and strength to advocate for themselves, know their rights and own their birth choices.

Birth is not a test that you pass or fail, it is a life changing experience that you can't control – you can only influence it at best.

Pregnancy is the perfect time to learn and educate yourself about your body's innate ability to birth as nature intended.

As you are digging deep in your birth preparation, I hope to encourage you to listen to your intuition and natural instinct as a birthing person. Work with your baby, have faith that your body knows what it needs to do, and trust the process.

Women have been giving birth since the beginning of time, it is the most natural thing we will ever do. Our bodies are wise and instinctively intelligent; birth is in our cells, in our tissues, in our biological blueprint. Our bodies know what to do. We are not broken. We are not sick. We do not need saving.

As mothers, we have the same desires for birth, we share similar fears, and we all have the ability to tap into the depths of our soul to find the strength to get through not only labour but also the unknowns beyond childbirth.

My course is accessible worldwide because I believe all women should have the opportunity to emerge from their birth feeling empowered by their birth experience - no matter how or where they birth.

Depending on where you live, the pain relief options, medical interventions and/or procedures available, might differ from hospital to hospital, or country to country - so just make sure you check with your care providers to see what is accessible for you.

  • Yes, definitely. I am serious about making courses that are not only very encouraging and helpful, but also ones I can stand by.

If you are not genuinely happy, just send me an email in the first 14 days, and I will give you a full refund.

One more note before you go…

As you dig deep in your birth preparation, I encourage you to listen to your intuition and natural instinct as a birthing person. Work with your baby and have faith that your body knows what it needs to do, and trust the process.

Women have been giving birth since the beginning of time, it is the most natural thing we'll ever do.

As mothers, we have the same desires for birth, we share similar fears, and we all have the ability to tap into the depths of our soul to find the strength to get through not only labour but also the unknowns beyond childbirth.

You may not be “ready” for all of the magic, craziness, and heart-exploding chaos that this next phase of life is about to bring…but if you stick with me, you will be prepared. I’m here for you, mama!
